Holy Trinity Newsletter                                        14/11/2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to those EYFS and KS1 parents who attended the workshop on phonics and maths last week, we are so grateful for your enthusiasm to work with us in supporting your children’s learning. We started the week thinking about the significance of poppies - many of the children were amazed to learn that the poppies we wear are made here in Richmond. We all stopped and were silent at 11am to reflect on how our freedom did not come ‘for free’ but at a great cost. Our football teams have had a busy week – our years 5 & 6 teams played Orleans, our girls’ team won 3-0 and our boys 4-3. Our year 3 team took part in an inter-school football festival winning four of their matches and drawing one. We were very proud of their performances and how the children conducted themselves both on and off the pitch.

Best wishes Alison This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

 Important Information

Christmas around the worldAs part of RE, this half term children in every class will have the opportunity to learn about how Christmas is celebrated outside the UK. We would love to hear from anyone who would be willing to come in to talk to the children about the Christmas traditions in other countries. Please contact Mrs. Trought (Owl Class teacher, Year 4, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you would be able to help with this.

Vision, Values and 5 year planIf you have not yet returned the questionnaire with your views about the school’s vision and values and intend to do so, Monday 18th November is the extended deadline. Many thanks to those of you who have already done so.
